American Trackways is an independent sponsor specializing in acquiring short-line rail networks and their supporting assets, including rail car MRO operations and storage yards, warehousing & logistics, fuel storage, and ancillary businesses that support the rail line and enhance commercial value of the network.
Partnership
We partner with financial sponsors to enable their investors access to equity ownership of private rail enterprises—an asset class that is not widely available. American Trackways sources and analyzes the opportunities, performs due diligence and valuation, negotiates and executes the acquisition, and manages the enterprise post-acquisition for the partnership.

Eric brings to American Trackways the ability to raise both debt and equity capital for acquisitions. He raises debt and equity capital for clients through his network of family offices, private equity and hedge funds, and mezzanine debt communities.
Brian Shiau, CFA
Managing Director
Private equity professional focused on industrials and special situations. Brian brings to American Trackways acquisition expertise, including business due diligence, transaction structuring, financial modeling, and valuation. Brian earned his MBA at Yale University and AB economics from Princeton University.
